WAGE$
The Wisconsin Apprenticeship Growth and Expansion Strategies (WAGE$) is a 5-year grant that runs from October 2015 to September 2020 to support local and statewide efforts that bring awareness to expanding registered apprenticeship programs into the high growth sectors of advanced manufacturing, health care, and information technology.
The following registered apprenticeship programs have been or are being planned for expansion:
Advanced Manufacturing

Industrial Manufacturing Technician (expansion of existing program)

Maintenance Technician (expansion of existing program)

Welder – Fabricator and Welder – Automated Welding (expansion of existing programs)

Mechatronics Technician (new program)

Expansion refers to increasing the number of sponsors and technical colleges training apprentices in the occupation.
