On-the-Job Training Program

The On-the-Job Training (OJT) program is designed to assist eligible WIOA individuals who have the aptitude and ability to do a specific job but who may not have previous on-the-job experience in that occupation or industry.

The OJT is an excellent vehicle for individuals to build their skills and re-establish their employment status. It is a great tool to have for self-promotion during a job search.

Additionally, OJTs can benefit businesses by reducing the cost of training new employees and to WIOA eligible individuals by providing opportunities to “earn as they learn” in a hands-on environment, acquire job and career advancement skills, and establish long-term employment.
